Children interpret our words directly don't they? Spitzli used to pick up the entire ball of wool until she learned that was mine and the toy ferret was hers.

Hi Edith, I'll bet your grandmother was proud of you for having a go. It's amazing how scarves have evolved, some quite possibly from early errors.

Hi Beth, you have me smiling. A left handed person can look quite twisted when they knit. I'd like to see a slingshot slip knot. I've used the raspberry, basket, moss, cable and simple stitches like those and tied myself up in many knots, but yours is new to me. Thank you for joining in.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00435753141533984134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6063850340914612348.post-30889723358359546212013-05-21T11:34:56.978-07:002013-05-21T11:34:56.978-07:00Nice :) My mom is left-handed and tried to learn c...Nice :) My mom is left-handed and tried to learn crochet (she can knit a little, I think.) Well, the gal instructing her had no idea how to teach lefties, so my mom got somewhat left behind :(

I've tried knitting, and could only master one knot (the slingshot slip knot...or something like that.) Kudos to you and your friend for doing it on your own! Love the pic. Maybe I could have patented the trapez scarf design. :-)Edith Parzefallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12861941454295101808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6063850340914612348.post-35870049536998954752013-05-20T17:31:34.186-07:002013-05-20T17:31:34.186-07:00Lovely photo and story, Wend. I remember wondering how my mother could find them. I never saw them fall. :) Later in life the mystery was explained.Rosalie Skinnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15530160674372850136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6063850340914612348.post-88864956603985864722013-05-20T16:03:45.870-07:002013-05-20T16:03:45.870-07:00Thanks for letting me indulge in a little bit of n...Thanks for letting me indulge in a little bit of nostalgia, LJ. While knitting, it's easy for the mind to wander and this was such a happy memory for me.

Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00435753141533984134noreply@blogger.com
